One call. One word. And the life I envisioned crumbles around me.
I was happy, living life to the fullest. Then I get the news that changes my life, destroys my plans. As I prepare for the fight of my life, I wonder if I will ever find the happiness I deserve?
No one knows my secret. Not even Max. I want him to be the one, I need his arms to hold me, to tell me it’s all going to be alright. But I do the only thing I know, I push him away, to save him.
One touch. One kiss. I knew I had to protect her at all costs.
Running from a past that haunts me, my duty has lead me to her. She’s a glimpse of the life I could have, a taste of hope, after the life I’ve lost.
But everything isn’t always as it seems. Bren’s keeping secrets and I fear they could do more damage than any rivalry ever could. She needs me to save her, she just doesn’t know it yet.
Two hearts. One life. Fighting for love.
Sarah Stevens is a New Adult Romance author.
Sarah started writing her first novel The Night He Saved Me in her free time while being a stay-at-home mom. Then one day, it started to flow, and she was writing "The End" in a matter of two months.
When she isn't writing, she is enjoying the southern life with her husband, three kids, a Saint Bernard—who is still adjusting to the southern summers and Bruno a rescue dog. She can't go a day without her coffee in the morning—and a few more cups during the day and her late nights writing.
She enjoys reading Contemporary or New Adult Romance and going to the pool or beach as much as she can. She loves all things Disney and collects Disney mugs to drink her beloved coffee in.
It's wrong. Unforgiving, and I should do what I do.
Run like Hell.
From this Twisted Love.

For the past seventy years, deep in the mountains and totally secluded from civilization, a matriarchal society has thrived. In this small village there are no brothers, no fathers, no sons. In this village men exist only to serve the women, and boys have no mothers. In this village men do as they are told and defiance is severely punished.
This is the only Life Wilderness has ever known, but when Jameson is brought in from the outside to be her husband, everything she thought she knew about strength and love is tested. As they struggle to find their place in the village, they suddenly find themselves face to face with outsiders who threaten to destroy everything they love, and it doesn’t take long to realize that they will have to work together, men and women alike, if they want to survive.

Thank you to NetGalley
for allowing me a free copy in return for an honest review.
A most enjoyable
detective/mystery that kept me interested all the way through and I will highly
The story line is a
little different to the normal detective books because Tom Ridpath is put on
temporary duty as the coroner’s officer, so he is required to approach an old
case from a different angle to what he is used to. And to make it more
interested it was a case that he had worked on and been seen as a hero for
catching the villain. Now however he is
needed to revisit the evidence and finds that the case was not as straightforward
as he had originally thought.
Along with his work
and colleagues, whom are all well-developed characters and are believable the
reader also gets a peek inside his personal life and his struggles with surviving
cancer and keeping his family and wife in a happy balance with his commitment
to his job.
As it was an ARC, I can
forgive the few errors as some characters changed name halfway through, even
though I had to go back to check for myself, it did not stop me from reading
the book at every opportunity until finished.
I, for one cannot wait
to read more of this detective and will look forward to finding out more books
from the author. Amazon USA: https://amzn.to/2SsSzSq

After all, the story couldn't possibly be as complicated as Naomi's own love life. Torn between Ryan, the mysterious and seemingly perfect man she just started dating, and Bryce, the sexy single dad who recently moved in next door, Naomi must navigate the tangled web of dating—all while trying to solve the mystery of Maggie's death.
When things turn dangerous, Naomi quickly learns whom she can trust and, more importantly, whom she can’t. Will she be able to write Maggie’s story and finally give Maggie the peace she deserves?

When I left behind my simple life and the small town that held it after graduation, I had perfect guy and the future I’d always dreamed of. I never imagined he’d become my worst nightmare.
I got away from him, but since I’ve come home, all that remains is the broken girl who ran away all those years ago. Suddenly, this town seems so much smaller than it ever did before.
With my dad gone and a decade full of regret behind me, I’ve never felt more alone in the world.
It isn’t until I meet my dad’s neighbor and her son, Nate, that I begin to feel anything.
They say you can’t go home again.
I never believed that until I tried.
I’ve lived in this town my whole life and have loved it since the day I was born. Lately, though, I can’t help feeling like it’s walls are closing in on me.
Maybe heartbreak does that to everyone.
Or maybe that’s just what I’ve been telling myself.
I’ve tried keeping my focus on my job and taking care of my mom, but I can’t shake the feeling that something is missing.
I’ve heard it said you can’t go home again.
One look at her and I can’t help but wonder if you can.

She leaves behind her fears and joins her family in their new home, Jacob’s Fork, West Virginia, where she plans out her nice, normal life.
But she’s not normal. She can never be normal.
Soon after her arrival to the sleepy little town, Alex comes face to face with her past and learns something terrifying. There’s a secret her family has killed to protect, a secret that has now put her and her brother’s life at risk.
Luka Rinaldi both fascinates and frustrates Alex from the moment she meets him. He’s dark and broody, arrogant, and hot enough to scorch brimstone. She’s drawn to him despite all the warning signs telling her he means her harm. She wants to trust him, but her instincts tell her to run.

Saidie Walker grew up a nice, normal girl—but not everything is as it seems. Even the Walker family has secrets locked away.
Saidie’s grandmother told them stories from their family history about being able to raise the dead. But Saidie believed they were only scary stories meant to frighten naughty children, and necromancers were nothing more than the stuff of nightmares and make-believe.
Until she met Alexandria Blackburne Reed and her powers woke up with a vengeance. Now she’s shipped off to New Orleans to be tutored, but finds herself surrounded by horrors instead.
One bright spot fills her dismal days—Aleric, the guy who’s been assigned as her test subject. He drives her nuts, makes her so mad she's ready to hit something, but the thought of causing him more pain than he's already suffered at Madame's hands is more than she can bear.
Her emerging feelings for him both confuse and excite her. She may have found the one thing she's always wanted, but will it survive amidst all the danger beginning to unfold?
Aleric's past is interwoven with the friends she left back home, and she'll do what she must to protect them all, even if that means dying. Her only hope is to make it home to West Virginia—to her best friend.
It's up to Alexandria to find a way to help Saidie before she loses her to the madness of her necromancy, while dealing with her own pain and heartache.
Can they survive the horrors about to rain down upon them all?
So who am I?
Well, I’m the crazy girl with an imagination that never shuts up. I LOVE scary movies. My friends laugh at me when I scare myself watching them and tell me to stop watching them, but who doesn’t love to get scared? I grew up in a small town nestled in the southern mountains of West Virginia where I spent days roaming around in the woods, climbing trees, and causing general mayhem. Nights I would stay up reading Nancy Drew by flashlight under the covers until my parents yelled at me to go to sleep.
Now, I live in a small town in West Virginia where I entertain my niece and nephew and watch the cats get teased by the birds and laugh myself silly when they swoop down and then dive back up just out of reach. The cats start yelling something fierce…lol.
I love books, I love writing books, and I love entertaining people with my silly stories.
